What are they?

These are formal written statements in which you declare certain facts or circumstances to an institution. They can be notarized or free-text, depending on the requirements.

Important: the legalization procedure is carried out only through the Ministry of Justice.

When is translation and legalization necessary?

• When applying for a work or residence permit abroad;
• To prove the origin of funds to foreign banks;
• When participating in legal proceedings in another country.

What is the procedure?

Legalization is carried out through the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Different approaches can be applied in order to meet deadlines and achieve specific goals.

Legalization with Apostille at the Ministry of Justice.

• A copy of the documents is certified before a notary;
• An Apostille is affixed by the Ministry of Justice;
• The entire document is translated, along with the notarized documents and Apostille;
• The translator’s signature is certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
