When we need translations, we usually think about whether we will handle it ourselves or ask a friend for help. We can afford this approach for unimportant texts that are of an informational nature for ourselves or for third parties.

Another method you can use for translations is to trust free translators that you can find on the internet. These programs make automatic translations, but they are very inaccurate and rather approximate.

However, when it comes to translating official documents, such as contracts, company correspondence, accounting and audit documents, diplomas, certificates, criminal records or marriage certificates, birth certificates, etc., this requires precision and accuracy in order to understand the meaning of the documents.

It is too much of a luxury and risk to translate official documents ourselves, unless we are professional translators or have extensive experience in such activities. This is why translation agencies exist – to make it as easy as possible for you and to guarantee that the translation is correct, matching the style and meaning of the document.

This is achieved by initially testing translators according to an established system, sending test translations. If approved, the next step is licensing according to the established procedure. The Consular Relations Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organizes and monitors the licensing process of the translation and legalization agencies themselves, the documents submitted by the translators, and their approval. Only after these approvals do the respective specialist and agency have the right to perform licensed translations.
