Simultaneous translation
In this type of interpreting, the interpreter translates directly during the speech. Simultaneous translation is used when organizing larger events such as conferences, seminars, congresses and others. Usually the appropriate equipment and interpreter booths , portable microphones, fixed ones are required. The main objective is to ensure continuation of the translation, facilitating the participants in the event.
In this type of translation the requirement for better quality translation is achieved by a team of at least two interpreters. This is because it requires high degree of concentration, adaptability, responsiveness, appropriate intonation, etc.. in order to understand the meaning of the statements. The team of translators organizes itself: who translates, when to translate, who notes, supporting signals, acts in urgent circumstances / fainting, or electricity failure, sound failure and others.
Advantages:
- simultaneous translation to several languages
- reducing time for making the translation, and respectively reducing the time of the event
- high-quality and adapted translation, without loss of meaning
- keeping the originality of the messages and statements
Consecutive translation
This is the so-called interpretation with waiting. Unlike simultaneous translation in which translation is synchronous, the interpreter waits herefor the talking to stop, then make their own translation. This type of interpretations are suitable when organizing conferences, business meetings, events with fewer participants, informal meetings, business meetings, dealing with notaries and others.
The main advantage of this type of translation is the lower price, because only one professional can be used depending on the duration of the event. There is no need for serious technical equipment, such as booths as interpreters.
